VIN: 119864933, ODO reads 19,968 miles, It is finished in yellow paint with brown pin-striping. This kit-car has a fiberglass body that was produced by Fiberfab. The car is called the "Empress I" the kit was bundled by the American Custom Cars in Houston,Tx. Many car companies assembled these Fiberfab kits but this kit is very early and a unique collectible. The car was built on a Volkswagen frame/platform. A impressive feature about these cars is that Fiberfab used an actual MG TD for the design adn tooling of the fiberglass body panels. Powered by the 1600cc VM engine mounted in the rear adn paired with a 4-speed manual transmission makes this vehicle is very reliable. The interior has brown leather bucket seats with matching panels that feature convenient cargo pockets on each. In the front of the vehicle is where you will find the fuel fill port that is adorned with a majestic metal hood ornament. This front hood panel then opens up to expose a large storage area and the battery. Mounted in the dash is the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, amperage gauge, water temperature gauge, switches for the lights and windshield washer, and an AM/FM/CD player. This car has a brown synthetic vinyl convertible topping in great shape, with detachable side curtains that provide protection for wet weather driving. The convertible top easily and conveniently folds back behind the seat with the plastic windows. At the rear of the car is a full size spare mounted to what you would be led to believe is the trunk, but being this is a VM chassis, it is actually the engine cover. That vintage style rests on 15" wheels wearing nostalgic wired hub caps. This replica allows you to experience the open air style of the British roadster. Drum brakes handle stopping duties and 185/60/15 tires put all of the fun to the pavement. Cars like this are a rare opportunity to enjoy vintage sports car appeal and style. It will induce stares from onlookers and bring out compliments from anyone that gets a chance to ask you about it.  The vehicle was taken out of storage to be serviced a few days ago, inspected and tuned-up to run well. The brakes pull a bit to the left and the horn has a short in the wire. The car is in good condition and sold as is.
